Philadelphia has so many beautiful icons. I chose this popular bridge because of all of its shimmering and reflecting lights that touched above and below the bridge.
The tough challenge was steadying the bridge's straight vertical lines with a lengthy ruler and pastel pencil. For the rippled water, I painted the lines (without a ruler) and blended its neighbors' colors nearby for a more watery, wavy look.
