Drawing dark sunglasses was mandatory in this piece, as I was on the sunny and scorching, top tier - pool side of the ship (wearing my sunscreen and sunglasses, too).
Painting in oil pastels took a lot of prediction of where and when these bathers would decide to swim as I quickly sketched them. And this was just a small corner of the huge pool that held them all!
